You've made the switch to at home DIY eyelash extensions, and now you want them to last. Proper application and aftercare is essential to ensure the longevity of your at home DIY eyelash extensions. We'll walk you through some steps and tips to keep them looking flawless.
Clean Your Natural Lashes
Start with clean, makeup-free natural lashes. Use a gentle, oil-free cleanser to remove any traces of makeup, oil, or residue from your natural lashes. This will help the lash segments adhere better.
This is especially important if you have just removed a set of DIY lashes with our lash remover, as it is oil based.
Ensure You Have the Right Tools
Our DIY Lash Extension Kit comes with all the essentials tools required to create your at home DIY lash extension transformation. You will need lash bond, lash sealant, lash tweezers and your chosen style of lash segments/clusters. If you are working with our lash ribbon, you will also need lash scissors.
Avoid Direct Water Contact for at Least 24 Hours
To ensure the lash bond and sealant have enough time to set, we recommend waiting at least 24 hours after application before your lashes come into direct contact with water.
after 24 hours, you can resume normal activities.
Avoid Oil-Based Products
To promote the longevity of your DIY extensions, maintain good eyelash health. Avoid using products that contain oils around your eyes, as oils can weaken the adhesive bond. You may opt for oil-free or water-based products instead.
After showering/washing your face
Treat your lashes with care. Avoid rubbing or pulling on your lash segments. when drying your face, pat gently with a clean towel instead of rubbing vigorously. Check to see if there is any minor lifting and if there is, apply some sealant and clamp them back together onto your natural lashes using your application tweezers.
