How do I apply eyelash extensions at home?

  1. Ensure your natural lashes are completely clean and free of any makeup or previous glue residue. Carefully apply a thin layer of bond near the root of your natural lashes, Be sure not to brush the bond through the entire lash, and wait 30-60 seconds for it to slightly dry.

  2. If you are working with a lash ribbon, use the scissors to cut the ribbon into desired segments. Use the application tweezers to gently grab hold of your first lash segment, starting with the outside corner of the eye.

  3. Place your lash segment carefully underneath your natural lashes whilst leaving at least a 1mm gap between your lashes and your lash line. Repeat with the remaining segments, working inwards.

  4. Gently dab the sealant near the root of your natural lashes and lash segments. Tip: Apply sealant to your tweezers and clamp near the root of your lashes.

  5. Allow 30-60 seconds for the sealant to dry and enjoy your new fresh set of lashes. Avoid getting your lashes directly wet for at least 12 hours.

  6. To remove lash segments, simply apply a generous amount of remover to the lashes and allow it to sit for 30 seconds or until lash segments slide off with ease. Once lash segments are removed apply another layer of the remover to your natural lashes to remove any glue residue. Ensure you cleanse your lashes with an oil free cleanser after use if applying a new set of segmented lashes.

Are at home DIY Lash Extensions comfortable?

Absolutely! GLAMADE DIY Lash Extensions are made from PBT material which means they are soft and lightweight. Our lashes have a thin band which make it comfortable for everyday wear.

To avoid discomfort, follow directions accordingly and leave at least a 1mm gap between your lashes and your lash line.

Are DIY lash extensions applied to the top of your natural lashes or underneath?

GLAMADE DIY Lash Extensions are designed to be applied to the underneath of your top eyelashes. This type of application means you can achieve salon-like lash extensions in the comfort of your own home.

To ensure comfort, use only as directed and leave at least a 1mm gap between your lashes and your lash line.

How can I make my DIY lashes last long?

When applying GLAMADE lashes correctly together with our bond and sealant you can expect to get up to 7 days of wear. With proper care, such as avoiding getting your lashes directly wet for at least 12 hours after application and sealing any minor lifting throughout the course of those 7 days, you may be able to get up to 10 days wear.

For hygiene purposes, we only recommend wearing each application for a maximum of up to 7 days before removing them safely with our oil based remover and cleansing your natural lashes and eyelids. You may reapply a new set of lashes directly after this and the lash segments may be reused multiple times after being cleaned. Ensure that you have removed any oil residue before reapplication to help with retention.

Our DIY lash extensions are completely beginner friendly however, like with anything else, the more practice the better you will get at application and retention.

Are DIY Lash Extensions damaging to my natural lashes?

With proper application and using only as directed the GLAMADE DIY Lash Extensions will cause no damage to your natural lashes. The lashes are lightweight and therefore will not create any unwanted tension to your natural lashes.

The oil based remover is effective at breaking up the bond and sealant, allowing the lash segments to glide off with ease. The remover can also be used to remove any glue residue from your natural lashes and lash segments prior to reapplication. As our remover is oil based you should follow up with an oil free cleanser after use to help with retention for your new application.
